The Little People

Here you see the first ten exemplars of my brand new etching
series “Little People in the Trees”. The subject is from an old fairy
tale. A young man is climbing up a giant tree and after a day he’s
arriving at a village. He’s climbing higher of course finally
reaching a castle with the obligatory waiting princess. But to me
the imagination of people having their houses and villages in
some giant trees was the most attractive part of the story. I don’t
know how extensive this series will become. Until now I worked
out ten pieces, all 3.8” x 5.7” on handmade paper 9.7” x 8.2”. They
are all printed by myself and there will be no more than 21 prints
of each.
